Shaner Hotels in State College TownePlace Suites by Marriott is looking for a guest‑focused team member to help run the breakfast service and morning operations at this new 89‑room all‑suite property in Happy Valley. Join a team that welcomes guests, handles requests and complaints with care, maintains cleanliness, and enforces safety standards across daily tasks.

The role offers flexible scheduling in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

Minimum one year customer service experience; prior hotel experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
Food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
Observe all house and safety rules, food-handling procedures, and security procedures.
Assist with inventories as scheduled.
Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Welcome, greet, and interact with guests in the breakfast and lobby area.
Set up, service, maintain, and break down the breakfast bar line; prepare specified food items, replenish supplies, and assist in serving guests courteously and efficiently according to departmental quality standards.
