Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for its TownePlace Suites by Marriott in State College. You will lead the housekeeping team, ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction, and train staff across shifts.

The role requires previous housekeeping experience, strong knowledge of safety and cleaning procedures, and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Some college and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience; supervisory experience a plus.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains high quality service in housekeeping by managing department standards and procedures.
• Direct, implement and maintain a strong service and management philosophy for staff.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Handle guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Train and develop team members and ensure training completion.
• Review daily business levels and plan effective solutions.
• Assist staff with duties to ensure optimum guest service.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, and houseperson tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
