Job summary

The Press Hotel in Portland, ME is seeking a meticulous housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of all public areas, including the lobby, hallways, meeting spaces, fitness center, elevators, stairwells, and entrances. You will clean and sanitize restrooms, stock supplies, and keep floors and surfaces pristine throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include trash removal, maintaining back-of-house areas, and supporting special projects while coordinating with Front Desk and Engineering to meet guest

Qualifications

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including lobby, hallways, meeting spaces, fitness center, elevators, stairwells and entrances.
• Clean and sanitize public and employee restrooms with stocked supplies.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, glass, fixtures and other surfaces.
• Remove trash and recycling from public spaces, offices, and guest-facing locations.
• Maintain employee areas including break rooms, locker rooms, offices, laundry areas and back-of-house hallways.
• Clean and replenish the fitness center, including equipment, towels, water stations and guest amenities.
• Monitor spaces for cleanliness and promptly address spills or guest concerns.
• Communicate maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely according to hotel standards.
• Assist with special projects and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
