Job summary

The Town of Haverhill is accepting applications for the full-time position of Public Services Coordinator / Code Enforcement Officer. This role reports to the Town Administrator and oversees solid waste, emergency preparedness, floodplain coordination, and local mitigation strategies while enforcing Town Codes.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), Florida driver’s license, and a strong background in code enforcement, customer service, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Public Administration.
• Five or more years in local government code enforcement.
• FACE certifications desirable; Stormwater Inspector certification.
• Ability to obtain FACE certifications within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate solid waste, emergency preparedness, local mitigation strategy, and floodplain coordination.
• Investigate code/code violations and issue notices of violations.
• Prepare cases for Special Magistrate and monitor fines and liens.
• Perform field inspections and interpret regulations for property owners and businesses.
• Coordinate with vendors and town departments on infrastructure projects.
• Occasional night and weekend work may be required.
