Job summary

The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) seeks an Identity and Driver Credential Specialist 1 for the Douglasville CDL Center. This full-time role supports customers by issuing learner permits, converting out-of-state licenses, and administering examinations in compliance with state laws.

You will handle payments, operate testing equipment, and work in a high-volume center with a focus on accuracy, courtesy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid Georgia Class C license is required and must be maintained while employed.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience within the last five years.
• Experience with cash transactions and daily reconciliation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with citizens to ensure applications, records, and documents are completed accurately.
• Accompany drivers in vehicles for commercial and non-commercial skills tests.
• Conduct driving examinations for motorcycle and commercial licenses.
• Operate visual testing equipment and collect payments.
• Maintain high accuracy and customer service standards in a high-volume center.
