Job summary

State of Georgia’s Department of Driver Services is seeking a Safety & Compliance Specialist 2 to support the CDL Programs Unit. The role focuses on processing applications, validating documents, and approving regulatory credentials for CDL owners, instructors, third-party testers, and examiners.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Process applications and supporting documents for CDL-related certifications and approvals.
• Screen applications for completeness and accuracy against state and federal regulations.
• Respond to inquiries via telephone, email, and in person in a timely manner.
• Investigate customer complaints, present findings, and recommend appropriate actions.
