Job summary

The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) seeks an Identity and Driver Credential Specialist 1 at the Brunswick CDL Center to issue learner permits, convert out-of-state licenses, and issue driver licenses in compliance with state laws.

This full-time role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and working with diverse populations; training provided and opportunities for advancement within DDS.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience within the last five years.
• Comfortable working with computer and internet technology.

Responsibilities

• Work with citizens to ensure applications, records and documents are completed accurately.
• Accompany drivers in vehicles for commercial skills tests and for non-commercial tests to evaluate adherence to driving laws.
• Conduct driving examinations for motorcycle and commercial licenses per state law and regulations.
• Operate visual testing equipment and accurately collect payments via cash or credit cards.
• Duties include handling payments and ensuring processes meet DDS guidelines.
