Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking a Title Attorney in Ashburn, VA for a full-time role in the Office of Chief Counsel.

You will handle complex real-property matters, including title review, conveyancing, and land acquisitions, while advising CBP on applicable laws and regulations. Typical work includes drafting title opinions, deeds, and related instruments, supporting DOJ litigation, and delivering training on title review and fiscal procedures.

Qualifications

• ABA-accredited law degree required; JD.
• Active bar admission in good standing. Must be able to practice law.
• Experience with title review and land conveyancing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on a broad range of CBP real-property matters.
• Draft deeds, sales and lease instruments and title opinions.
• Support DOJ as agency counsel in civil actions; prepare litigation materials and participate in discovery.
