Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking an experienced Title Attorney for the Office of Chief Counsel. The role covers title review, complex real-property matters, and land acquisitions for CBP programs.

Qualified attorneys will handle detailed title opinions, curative issues, and related conveyancing instruments, supporting federal actions and training CBP managers on title and acquisition processes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ABA-accredited School of Law and active bar member in good standing.
• Specialized experience in title examination, conveyancing, and real-property matters for GS-12 level.
• Background for GS-13/14 to be placed at appropriate pay level based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on title review and land conveyancing for CBP-funded acquisitions.
• Draft and revise deeds, agreements, and instruments to comply with Title Regulations and policies.
• Support DOJ as agency counsel in civil actions and participate in eDiscovery and litigation work.
