Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead complex recruitment efforts across divisions, ensuring alignment with state policies and timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience performing advanced talent acquisition work advising divisions on recruitment needs and strategies.
• Experience solving complex hiring challenges and evaluating applicant pools.
• Strong written and verbal communication with managers, executives, applicants, and employees.
• Experience using targeted sourcing methods and analyzing job classifications to strengthen applicant pools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to develop and refine job specifications and interview strategies.
• Screen applications to determine minimum qualifications.
• Conduct proactive sourcing and targeted headhunting for hard-to-fill roles.
• Review selection and hiring packets for compliance and provide guidance to HR staff.
• Manage job offers, including negotiation and documentation, and serve as main contact for applicants.
• Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.
