Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Summer Analyst Intern (Undergraduate) for the Public Sector Services group in Washington DC. This 7-week program is a pipeline to a full-time Analyst offer, designed for undergraduates graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.

Expect exposure to federal, state, and local government engagements and hands-on client work with AI-assisted research and analysis. You will join an engagement team, structure data, test hypotheses, and present findings to leadership,

Qualifications

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate, graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
Interest in public sector consulting and data-driven problem solving.
Experience using generative AI tools for research, writing, or analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Join active engagement teams serving federal, state, and local government clients.
Gather, structure, and analyze data to test hypotheses about client problems.
Use AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and analysis, with verification.
Build components of client deliverables, including analyses, models, slides, and briefs.
Present work to engagement leadership and clients where appropriate.
Conduct interviews and working sessions with client staff and stakeholders.
Participate in structured learning and performance assessments.
