Job summary

Public Consulting Group is seeking an AI Solutions Analyst to design, deliver, and monitor AI-enabled solutions for state government environments. You will translate policy needs into structured requirements and evaluate system output quality with basic statistics.

You will bridge business analysis with hands-on AI tuning, focusing on performance, cost, and explainability within enterprise constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Solutions Analyst, or Consultant.
• Experience translating complex needs into structured deliverables.
• Client-facing experience in requirements sessions and workshops.
• Working knowledge of basic statistics and distributions to design evaluation test sets.
• Hands-on experience iterating on prompts/instructions for LLM-based systems.
• Working knowledge of AI systems, including behavior and limitations.
• Understanding of model selection tradeoffs, context/cost constraints, and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead client requirements sessions and discovery discussions.
• Translate policy and operational workflows into structured requirements.
• Serve as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams.
• Design AI-enabled solutions and define use cases; document AI workflows.
• Analyze evaluation results to identify underperformance and iterate on prompts.
• Identify tradeoffs related to performance, cost, and explainability.
• Support program operations and cross-workstream coordination.
