Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 2 years of accounting experience (governmental accounting preferred), and strong Excel skills; background checks and Texas licensing requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience; governmental accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and balance general ledger accounts across multiple funds.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor revenue and expenditures for grants; ensure grant terms compliance and data for reimbursements.
• Review accounts payable invoices for accuracy.
• Support external auditors during annual financial audits.
• Adhere to internal controls to safeguard public assets and ensure accurate documentation.
