Job summary

Motive is actively seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector to drive successful outcomes for Motive’s largest Public Sector customers. You’ll partner with Account Executives to shape deal strategy, showcase the value of our platform, and act as a trusted advisor to technical and business stakeholders.

This role requires a balance of technical acumen, business sense, and strong communication skills as you map customer challenges to Motive’s solutions and influence buying

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pre-sales or solutions engineering for enterprise and public sector.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
• Willing to travel 30%+.
• Experience with value-based selling frameworks (MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Command of the Message) and solutions engineering methodologies (Demo2Win, Great Demo!, or comparable).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Public Sector Account Executives to shape deal strategy and deliver high-impact demonstrations.
• Tailor demos to resonate across technical, operational, and business audiences.
• Translate complex customer challenges into clear, measurable solutions.
• Collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.
