Job summary

Public Consulting Group is seeking a System Tester to support software implementation and digital transformation projects in a hybrid delivery environment. You will plan, design, execute, and document testing to validate business requirements, data integrity, interfaces, and end-to-end processes.

Collaborating with business analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders, you will create detailed test scenarios, manage defects, and ensure traceability from requirements to results.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and performing functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, including the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
• Experience identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking defects using test management and defect tracking tools.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Ability to analyze requirements, technical specifications, workflows, and business processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detailed and process improvement oriented
• Knowledge and understanding of application testing methodologies, tools, and execution
• Analytical and Strategic Thinker
• Excellent PC spreadsheet and database skills

Responsibilities

• Create, design, and maintain test scenarios, strategies, and data.
• Conduct user acceptance testing on technical work items delivered for the business.
• Report defects with reproduction steps and lifecycle status.
• Verify business requirements align with processes and data flows.
• Coordinate defect triage and communications with stakeholders.
• Prepare complex test data and regression scripts.
• Participate in sprint-based testing and iterative delivery.
• Validate API, web service, and file-based interfaces and integrations.
