• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Assoc degree in accounting, finance, or information technology and 3+ years of municipal purchasing experience required.
• Certified CPPB/CPPO preferred or ability to obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop, communicate, and train employees on purchasing policies and procedures.
• Prepare and code purchase orders for requisitions.
• Ensure purchases are budgeted and in the city’s best interest.
• Coordinate competitive procurement processes including bids, proposals, and formal advertisements.
• Maintain contracts in the accounting system and manage procurement records.
