Job summary

The State of Montana Department of Administration's State Procurement Services Division is seeking a Procurement Officer to support the Department of Public Health and Human Services. You will help complete procurements and contracts accurately and efficiently under applicable laws and funding requirements.

You will mentor staff, conduct solicitations, and provide contract oversight for assigned contracts. Telework is available, with required weekly in-office days in Helena, following state

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree with relevant experience in procurement or contracts.
• Ability to learn procurement processes, rules, and laws.
• Ability to communicate with diverse management levels and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Mentor DPHHS staff in procurement procedures.
• Conduct solicitations for goods and services.
• Provide contract oversight and management for assignments.
• Explain complex procurement requirements to internal stakeholders.
