Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a senior pricing and financial strategy professional to support pursuit and sales teams on large engagements. You will analyze cost structures, evaluate pricing options, and ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies while advising senior leaders.

You will collaborate across finance, sales, and operations to shape as-a-service pricing, manage risk, and present P&L outcomes to drive win rates and strong business controls.

Qualifications

• First level university degree with a focus in business or economics.
• 6+ years of experience in finance or pricing.
• Experience in more than one finance function and with executive partners.
• Strong Excel skills and excellent analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and contracting practices.

Responsibilities

• Directly support pursuit and Sales teams with pricing and terms for large engagements.
• Gather financial data and perform financial analyses (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Review deal structures and pricing for as-a-Service offerings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Pursuit, Compliance, Revenue Recognition, and Tax teams to mitigate risks.
• Present P&L statements for deal approvals and act as financial advisor to teams.

Job description

• Directly support pursuit and Sales teams with account strategy, financial evaluation, risk assessment, pricing, and terms and conditions negotiation for large profitable engagements
• Support as-a-Service strategies operationally and strategically
• Gather financial data and perform financial analyses and reporting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Communicate and drive adherence to accounting principles and organizational financial goals and policies
• Represent financial results correctly internally and externally and ensure strong business controls
• Review deal structures and pricing for GreenLake as-a-Service, Advisory and Professional Consulting, and Custom Support opportunities
• Evaluate assumptions against HPE Accounting Standards to form pricing strategy
• Analyze cost structures and optimize internal and external levers to improve win capability
• Partner with Sales and Pursuit teams in deal shaping and perform customer pricing simulations
• Create, evaluate, and present HPE P&L statements for deal approvals
• Serve as financial advisor to presales, sales, and account teams
• Assess and quantify risks and suggest mitigation plans
• Provide documentation for the OBR approval process
• Interact with senior Sales and Finance executives and participate in decision-making
• Establish relationships with Pursuit and other functional teams to understand cost structures
• Work with Compliance, Revenue Recognition, Tax, and Operations teams to address solution risks and propose mitigations
• Lead transformation efforts on as-a-Service pricing execution

Requirements

• First level university degree with a focus in business or economics

• Strong understanding of HPE’s business portfolio
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition policy or experience negotiating contracting practices and government regulations preferred
