Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a pricing and financial analysis leader to support pursuit and sales in large engagements, evaluating profitability, pricing, and terms. You will gather data, perform P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analyses, and ensure adherence to accounting principles.

You will partner with Sales and Pursuit teams, review deal structures, run pricing simulations, and present results for approvals. Excellent communication with senior leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• First level university degree with a focus in business or economics.
• 6+ years experience in finance or pricing roles.
• Experience in more than one finance function.
• Experience partnering with senior leadership.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and contracting practices.

Responsibilities

• Directly support pursuit and Sales teams in account strategy, financial evaluation, risk assessment, pricing and Terms/Conditions negotiation for large profitable engagements
• Support as-a-Service opportunities and ensure financial independence and transparency
• Gather financial data and perform financial analyses and reporting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow
• Communicate and drive adherence to accounting principles and organizational financial goals and policies
• Represent financial results correctly internally and externally and ensure strong business controls
• Review deal structure and pricing for GreenLake as-a-Service, Advisory and Professional Consulting, and Custom Support opportunities
• Evaluate assumptions against HPE Accounting Standards to form pricing strategy
• Analyze cost structures and optimize internal and external levers
• Partner with Sales and Pursuit teams in deal shaping and perform pricing simulations for customers
• Create, evaluate and present HPE P&L for deal approvals
• Advise presales, sales and account teams
• Assess and quantify risk and suggest mitigation plans
• Provide documentation for the OBR approval process
• Interact with senior Sales and Finance executives and participate in decision-making
• Establish working relationships with Pursuit and functional teams to understand cost structures
• Work with Compliance, Revenue Recognition Office, Tax and Operations teams to address risks and propose mitigations
• Lead transformation efforts on as-a-Service pricing execution

Requirements
