Job summary

Johnson County Government’s Treasury, Taxation, & Vehicles division seeks a Motor Vehicle Supervisor to oversee daily titling and registration operations across two walk-in locations and back-office functions. You will lead a team of about 12 employees, ensure accuracy, compliance with state laws, and deliver exceptional customer service.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules, training, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Management or relevant field is required.
• One year experience as a retail sales manager, customer service manager, bank branch manager, or closely related position, with emphasis on personnel management, retail operations and business development or relevant experience is required.
• Valid Driver's License and a good driving record is required.
• Experience leading, directing, supervising, or coordinating the work of others is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of vehicle titling and registration at two walk-in locations and back-office functions.
• Supervise approximately 12 employees; ensure exemplary customer service and compliance with state laws and regulations.
• Promote high-quality customer service culture through coaching, guidance and staff engagement.
• Build knowledge of county/state processes and procedures; ensure deadlines and statutory regulations are met.
• Research and respond to complex customer inquiries and rectify complaints; implement changes and improvements.
