Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for the Public Sector to deploy cutting-edge models to mission-critical government systems. The role spans LLMs and computer vision with a focus on agentic systems and robust retrieval pipelines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of production ML experience, strong Python skills, and experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch. A TS security clearance is preferred. On-site in Washington DC with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience applying GenAI, NLP, or CV in production settings.
• Strong programming in Python with ML frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch).
• 2+ years building and deploying ML systems in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Take state-of-the-art models and deploy in production to solve customer problems.
• Retrain models and tune hyperparameters to preserve performance.
• Collaborate with product/research to prototype ML-driven enhancements.
• Work with large datasets to train and fine-tune models for products.
• Build scalable ML infrastructure to automate services.
• Advocate for ML techniques across engineering and product teams.
