Job summary

City of Cedar Hill seeks an Information Systems Analyst I to support and maintain the City’s technology systems, assist end users, and improve processes. This role manages access, security, and assets, while coordinating M365 and SharePoint tasks with IT staff and departments.

You will troubleshoot issues, document procedures, and contribute to cybersecurity and service delivery initiatives in a public-sector environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, communications, or equivalent.
Two years of related experience; local government preferred.
CJIS clearance eligibility and related certifications.
Valid Texas Class C driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Provide premier customer support and technical assistance for City employees as the Help Desk escalation point.
Administer user access and security permissions for City systems and cloud resources.
Maintain and troubleshoot City technology infrastructure and applications.
Assist with onboarding of new applications and services and create documentation.
Track and manage technology assets across hardware and software.
Coordinate Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration activities.
Support workflow analysis and process improvements with departments.
Respond to technology emergencies and participate in on-call rotations.
Maintain inventory records and update technical documentation.
Provide after-hours support during outages, upgrades, or critical events.
Support cybersecurity and IT operational standards.
