Job summary

KPMG LLP seeks a Manager in State & Local Advisory to lead complex public sector IT engagements in the Sacramento area. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder engagement, and drive delivery milestones for government clients.

The role requires strong experience in agile workflows, leadership of multi-agency projects, and a deep understanding of California government operations. Domestic travel may be required, and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five+ years in PM/delivery/technical leadership with lead capacity.
• Must reside in Sacramento region or relocate for on-site impact.
• Strong knowledge of CA government operations and public sector IT implementations.
• Experience leading agile/product workflows and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, client-facing public sector IT workstreams with IT system alignment and agile/product workflows.
• Manage cross-functional teams to deliver client service and project/financial management.
• Present milestones to senior decision-makers and build trust with state officials across agencies.
• Drive development of thought leadership, tools, resources and training.
• Contribute to methodologies and intellectual capital through articles and guides.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and assisting with proposals.
