Job summary

The City of Manhattan Beach is seeking a thoughtful, proactive HR Technician to join our HR Team. The ideal candidate will bring generalist experience including recruitment, training administration, benefits administration, payroll processes, and HRIS.

Under supervision, you will support recruitment, employee orientation, leave administration, payroll, recordkeeping, and benefits coordination, while maintaining confidentiality and excellent service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• General HR experience in recruitment, training, benefits, payroll, and records.
• Experience with HRIS and employee data management.
• Knowledge of employment law and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment, applicant tracking, and onboarding for positions.
• Coordinate employee orientation, open enrollment, and leave administration.
• administer health and welfare programs, payroll changes, and personnel records.
• Maintain HRIS data, prepare reports, and assist with budget tracking.
• Provide office support to HR leadership and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Ensure compliance with retention policies and confidentiality requirements.
