Job summary

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is seeking a Financial Services Administrator to support a multimillion-dollar, limited-term project and agency financial reporting functions. You will focus on grant management, fiscal compliance, and ACFR/Single Audit preparation, while ensuring GL integrity and timely closing.

Responsibilities include supervising accounting staff, coordinating month-end/year-end closings, and implementing process improvements in the financial system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional accounting or financial management experience.
• Minimum three (3) years managing grant accounting, reporting, and compliance.
• Experience with ACFR and Single Audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of governmental accounting standards and internal controls.
• CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; prepare entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Manage grant accounting, reimbursements, expenditure tracking, and compliance.
• Prepare schedules for the ACFR and Single Audit.
• Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and internal controls.
• Develop expertise in the agency's financial system and suggest improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, audit coordination, and financial analysis.
• Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff.
