Responsibilities

• Develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control.
• Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.
• Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.
• Performs economic research and studies in rates of return, depreciations, working capital, investments, and government requirements.
• Carries out assignments that are typically straightforward in nature.
• Collaborates with senior peers on projects.
• Selects from multiple procedures and methods to accomplish tasks.
• Applies organizational policies.
• Routinely provides work group leadership, guidance, and/or training to less experienced staff.
• Coordinates with program analysts, service providers, and City departments for grant-efficient and effective financial management.
• Assists in preparation and review of legislation.
• Participates in onsite monitoring and desk audits, performs monthly grant reconciliations, and analyzes expenditure activities.
• Maintains current training on applicable federal grant programs and systems (IDIS, HMIS, SAGE, Oracle, Neighborly, Microsoft 365).
• Monitors contracts’ financial performance, burn rate, and deviations; notifies managers of issues.
