Job summary

Warwick Township in Jamison, PA seeks an experienced Director of Finance to oversee the Township’s financial operations and manage the Finance Department. This full-time exempt role reports to the Township Manager and collaborates with department heads, auditors, and state agencies.

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of municipal finance, budgeting, accounting, payroll, and reporting, with excellent analytical and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPFO/CPA preferred.
• Five years of professional accounting in governmental or non-profit operations, including at least two years in supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Caselle or equivalent, and ability to learn other software.
• Demonstrated experience supervising employees and managing departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Township's financial administration, records, budgets, and transactions.
• Supervise the Finance Department and coordinate with managers, auditors, vendors, and state/county agencies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, and governmental regulations; provide financial recommendations.
