Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Construction Manager to lead vertical capital building projects for city governments, counties and higher education clients. The role entails interface with architects, general contractors, geotech/materi als testing agencies, FF&E and other stakeholders to oversee and manage new and existing facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of construction experience in CM, CMRep, Owner's Rep or Superintendent roles.
• Experience with renovations and new building projects for city governments, counties and higher education.
• Knowledge of project costs, budgets, change requests, RFIs, submittals and field observation reports.
• Experience using SharePoint or related government construction mgmt software to communicate progress.
• Experience using Excel or cost estimating software for independent cost estimates.
• Ability to review designs and shop drawings for constructability and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent relationships with clients, occupants, architects/engineers and contractors.
• Manage and coordinate inspection staff.
• Manage project schedule from inception to close out.
• Lead project site meetings and reviews.
• Review contractor work for compliance with plans and specs.
• Review and approve contractor monthly requisitions and invoices.
• Control changes and costs; report project status.
• Perform other duties as required.
