Job summary

Appian seeks a senior solutions architect to advise government customers on design and implementation of Appian solutions across private cloud and on‑prem environments. You will present integrated architectures, lead pre‑sales solutioning, and guide delivery roadmaps to ensure technical success.

This role involves architecting secure federal cloud hosting with AWS, GCP, or Azure, leading enterprise cloud projects, and mentoring client architecture teams to adopt scalable, repeatable practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years advising customers on design and implementation of government cloud platforms.
• 10+ years multi‑tier app design and architecture.
• Experience architecting secure cloud hosting for federal customers using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Leadership in enterprise cloud environments (e.g., C2S, JWICS, GovCloud).
• Federal proposals and whitepapers experience.
• Agile IT delivery leadership using Scrum, SAFe.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on technical design, architecture, and Appian solutions for private cloud, on‑premises, or government cloud offerings.
• Support sales with high‑value solutions that integrate program/project management and delivery roadmaps.
• Present and vet integrated solutions and complex designs to customers and stakeholders.
• Support configuration, testing, deployment, and operations of Appian apps using agile practices.
• Guide development practice, governance, and delivery automation with DevSecOps practices.
• Lead development of customer success innovations and offerings for delivery capabilities.
• Distill common best practices from technical challenges with architects.
• Contribute to whitepapers and pre‑sales solutioning.
