Job summary

Google Cloud Platform team seeks a Customer Engineer for The Ohio State University. You will partner with Sales to differentiate Google Cloud, design AI-first solutions, and lead proofs of concept with agentic AI workflows in educational settings.

You will engage with university leadership to translate goals into automated, practical architectures, and collaborate with Google Public Sector to support digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

Must have Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of cloud native architecture experience in customer-focused or support roles.
Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
Experience as a Technical Sales Engineer in a cloud environment or similar customer-facing role.
Experience migrating legacy apps to cloud platforms and setting up data structures for ML workloads.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Sales to identify Google Cloud and AI opportunities and address technical blockers.
Own the technical relationship with stakeholders at The Ohio State University and lead PoC work.
Demonstrate AI-enabled integrations and agentic workflows in complex environments.
Design AI-optimized enterprise architectures and secure data foundations for deployments.
Sit onsite 2-3 days a week and travel to events as needed to engage educational leaders.
