Job summary

River City Bank in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Public Sector Banking Relationship Manager to grow deposit relationships for public sector clients and expand public finance opportunities inCalifornia. The RM will be the primary point of contact for deposits over $1M and loans up to $50M as applicable.

The role requires at least five years of public funds experience, a finance-related degree, and strong sales and underwriting skills.

Qualifications

• Five years+ experience in sourcing and managing public funds and/or public finance.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed loan and deposit sales goals.
• Public finance underwriting skills including financial analysis.
• Experience structuring credit products for the public sector.
• Knowledge of commercial lending policies and documentation.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow Public Sector deposit and lending relationships.
• Negotiate and structure public finance loans and document applications.
• Leverage bank products for Public Funds and coordinate solutions, including cash management.
• Implement an effective calling program to expand banking relationships.
• Represent the Bank in community organizations to build referrals.
• Support CRA through business development and community involvement.
• Maintain knowledge of bank regulations and ensure compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
