Job summary

The Philadelphia Housing Authority is seeking a Staff Auditor II in the Office of Audit and Compliance to conduct financial, compliance, and operational audits across PHA programs, departments, and functions, identifying fraud, waste, and inefficiencies while strengthening internal controls.

Reporting to the Senior Auditor, you will prepare audit work papers, draft reports, and help implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Experience with government and professional audit standards.
• Knowledge of state and federal housing and finance regulations.
• Ability to document audit work papers and report findings.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conducts financial, compliance, and operational audits across programs and departments.
• Develops audit planning flowcharts and prepares meeting minutes.
• Prepares comprehensive audit work papers to support findings.
• Drafts reports with corrective actions to rectify deficiencies.
• Suggests improvements to internal controls and procedures.
• Assists investigations and may testify in court or grand jury when required.
