Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. on the Public Sector Engineering team seeks an experienced engineer. This hybrid customer-facing role sits with U.S. government customers to deliver AI applications from prototype to production and evolve Scale's platform for critical missions.

You will embed with Army, Air Force, Joint commands, and Intelligence Community, delivering robust backends and data integrations while guiding adoption and maximizing impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in customer-facing, forward-deployed, or government contexts.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Linux.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Embed with government customers to understand mission and turn it into working software.
• Own end-to-end delivery from prototype to production.
• Build robust backend systems and data integrations with Scale's platform.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to feed field signals into the roadmap.
• Serve as the technical point of contact guiding adoption and mission impact.
