Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of governmental and fund accounting.

Responsibilities

• Audit vouchers/invoices from all departments for proper expenditure coding.
• Process disbursements including juror payments and tax disbursements.
• Assemble voucher packages for Board approval and process payments (check/ACH).
• Analyze budget reports with departments to prepare budget supplements.
• Prepare annual 1099 reporting per IRS regulations.
• Maintain general ledger chart of accounts and accounting software access.
• Support election processes by providing information and data as needed.
• Maintain compliance with County policies and procedures.

Education

Associate’s degree in accounting

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Governmental / fund accounting knowledge

Equivalent combination of education and experience
