Job summary

The Town of Addison is seeking a meticulous accounting professional to support its financial operations. You will maintain records, perform reconciliations, and prepare journal entries to ensure accuracy across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.

Responsibilities include processing P-Card batches, coordinating with the Texas Comptroller for required reports, managing investment activity, and supporting debt and arbitrage reporting, with the potential to contribute to the ACFR and related

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting theories, GAAP, and practices.
• Experience with automated accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
• Strong writing and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to establish and maintain internal controls and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations and related journal entries.
• Process bi-weekly P-Card payable batches and reconcile P-Card activity.
• Prepare and file reports with the Texas Comptroller for sales tax and other fees.
• Download and reconcile monthly investment pool statements.
• Record and reconcile investment cash activity and debt-related transfers.
• Process semi-annual debt service principal and interest payments.
• Prepare entries, reconciliations, and reporting for debt and arbitrage calculations.
• Assist in ACFR preparation.
• Perform other duties as needed for town events.
