Job summary

Ohio BWC in Columbus seeks a detail-oriented professional to support workers' compensation coverage and billing operations. You will assist walk-in customers, answer inquiries, and review employer coverage for accuracy at the service counter.

The role involves processing payroll reports and true-up filings, with opportunities to address audits and government inquiries. On-site work, with standard full-time hours and flex-time arrangements based on need.

Qualifications

• 24 mos. exp. in processing claims, collections, billings, payments, or related reviews.
• Or 16 semester/24 quarter hours in accounting; 12 mos. exp. in accounting or fiscal activity.
• Or 12 mos. exp. as Accountant/ Examiner 1 with state govt exp.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to walk-in customers at the service counter.
• Responds to inquiries from employers about coverage issues.
• Reviews and establishes coverage on business accounts for employers.
• Determines if employer meets ORC 4123.01 prior to coverages.
• Processes annual employer payroll reports and true-up reporting.
• Identifies and refers audits to the Auditing Supervisor.
• Answers inquiries from officials, Bureau personnel, and customers about classifications and rates.
• Attends training and meetings as needed.
