Job summary

The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) seeks a Program Administrator/Instructor to lead the Leadership Development Institute at the MPCTC in Sykesville, MD. You will oversee design and delivery of high-impact training and ensure programs meet COMAR standards and reflect current industry practices.

Responsibilities include developing curricula, managing schedules, and providing instructional leadership across mandated and non-mandated programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Five years of experience as a public safety professional.
MPCTC Instructor Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
Two years of First Line Supervisor or First Line Administrator experience in public safety.
Three years of planning, teaching, organizing, and implementing leadership/public safety training.

Responsibilities

Curriculum innovation and teaching for executive and supervisory leadership programs.
Strategic oversight of training schedules and collaboration with external trainers.
Regulatory compliance with COMAR standards and industry guidelines.
Mentorship and collaboration across MPCTC units to standardize statewide training.
