Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, is seeking a Per Diem Public Safety Instructor to develop and deliver classroom, scenario-based, and hands-on training in CPR, AVADE programs, firearms safety, handcuffing, OC Spray, and other Public Safety competencies. The role requires current CPR and AVADE certifications, state licensing, and the ability to obtain instructor certifications for future programs.

Per diem hours are 8 hours weekly.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Current CPR certification and CPR instructor certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current AVADE Instructor and AVADE Active Shooter Instructor Certifications.
• Massachusetts State Police Basic Firearms Safety Instructor Certification.
• HANDCUFF/RESTRAINT Instructor Credentials with 90-day credentialing window.
• OC Spray Instructor Credentials with 90-day credentialing window.
• Two years of experience providing safety, security, or related training.

Mansioni

• Plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate Public Safety training programs for officers and hospital personnel.
• Develop and facilitate safety drills and competency evaluations.
• Coordinate drills with Public Safety leadership and hospital departments.
• Provide post-drill feedback and corrective actions.
• Conduct CPR instruction and certifications per certifying bodies.
• Deliver AVADE-related training including active shooter, de-escalation and workplace violence prevention.
• Maintain training records and certifications.
• Attend instructor-development programs as directed.
