Job summary

Baltimore City is seeking a Public Safety Supervisor to lead the Convention Center security team, schedule and train staff, and ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.

The role requires five years of security officer experience with at least three years in supervision, strong judgment, and excellent communication skills. Candidates must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, and comply with all safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years of security officer experience with at least three years supervisory experience.
• Equivalency allowed (education and experience).
• Resume should demonstrate relevant work history and required skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and safety for guests, employees, property, and facility.
• Direct and supervise Public Safety Officers and staff during events.
• Enforce rules, regulations, and maintain order in and around the Convention Center.
• Prepare reports, evaluations, and handle administrative tasks.
• Coordinate with the Assistant Director of Public Safety and Director of Building Services.
• Conduct daily facility inspections and ensure shifts are properly staffed.
