Job summary

County of Orange's Sheriff's Department seeks a Sheriff’s Shop Planner – Electrical/Mechanical to organize and oversee maintenance, scheduling, and procurement for facilities, with focus on regulatory compliance using FM or CMMS systems.

The role includes coordinating work orders, supervising shop activities in the absence of the supervisor, and ensuring safety and compliance with Cal-OSHA, SPCC, Air Quality and related regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating maintenance activities and managing contractors.
• Hands-on FM/CMMS experience and scheduling course preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance including Cal-OSHA, SPCC, and related rules.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance and repair work for assigned facilities.
• Create job plans, materials lists, and tool requirements for tasks.
• Coordinate procurement and vendor scheduling; supervise shop activities as needed.
