Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Looking for technicians with working knowledge of electrical codes, and/or metal fabrication.
  • Perform a variety of tasks with minimal supervision, including bending, drilling, cutting sheet metal, assembling, distribution panel wiring, testing, and repairing electrical equipment following documented procedures, approved engineering drawings and established UL standards.
  • Inspect UL Standards and procedures of all equipment manufactured in a UL Shop.
  • Repair, maintain, and manufacture temporary electrical equipment related to the UL program.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose difficult electrical and mechanical issues on UL equipment.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut, and fit components into the final product.
  • Experience with welding and soldering pieces together.
  • Work with bending, cutting and drilling sheet metal.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the above areas of responsibility or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Required to have and maintain a valid Florida Drivers License.
Preferences
  • Working knowledge and/or skills regarding electrical distribution equipment.
  • Experience manufacturing, repairing, evaluating, and inspecting all UL equipment following UL standards.

Salary Information

Pay Grade: 410 - From $16.61 to $20.90
