Pima County in Facilities Management is seeking an Electronics Supervisor to lead the Electronics Shop, coordinating fire alarm maintenance, testing and repairs, and supervising staff, including performance management, timekeeping and scheduling.

The role requires reviewing data and fiber installation for new construction and remodeling, while maintaining records with Word, Excel and Outlook and supporting cost estimates and system upgrades for county electronics infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Completion of an industry-recognized apprenticeship in the electronics field and six years journey-level electronics experience, including two years supervisory experience.
• Alternatively, four years as Electronics Specialist I/II or Trades Maintenance II with one year lead or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates schedules and coordinates Fire Alarm system maintenance, testing and repairs
• Manages and supervises Electronics Specialist staff, including performance management, timekeeping and scheduling
• Performs review of data and fiber installation for new construction and remodeling submittals
• Maintains records of Electronics shop duties and functions using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Assigns and programs card access
• Coordinates and schedules Electronic shop work orders
• Creates cost estimates for Electronics shop projects
• Provides feedback and/or recommendations for new and/or upgrades to County electronics systems
