Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital in Enid, OK is hiring a variable shift, full-time Public Safety Sergeant. The role involves leading security personnel, patrolling the facility, enforcing regulations, and responding to emergencies across indoor and outdoor areas.

The team works within a large health system with comprehensive safety protocols. Ideal candidates bring a year of security experience, CLEET armed license or retired police commission, and relevant IAHSS certifications.

Qualifications

• 1-year prior security experience.
• CLEET-Armed Security Guard License OR Retired Police Commission
• IAHSS- Cert HC Security Supervisor (CHSS)
• IAHSS-Cert Adv HC Secur Officer (CAHSO)
• IAHSS-HC Security Officer (CHSO)

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties and areas of responsibility to personnel supervised, assesses performance and provides training.
• Functions as Fire Marshal for assigned shift, responds to emergency scenes and assists with drills.
• Conducts patrols by vehicle or on foot to protect personnel and property.
• Ensures adherence to regulations, policies and procedures and prevents criminal or disruptive activity.
• Controls pedestrian and vehicle traffic, issues traffic citations and conducts accident investigations when appropriate.
• Completes special projects and reports to a Public Safety Specialist or higher authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Armed CLEET License or Retired Police Commission
• Associates degree or above
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Responsibilities:

• Assigns duties and areas of responsibility to personnel supervised, assesses performance effectiveness and provides necessary training.
• Functions as Fire Marshal for assigned shift, responds to all emergency scenes pending arrival of other authority, assist with various drills, and inspects fire equipment.
• Conducts patrols by vehicle or on foot with the objective of protecting personnel and property.
• Ensures adherence to employee regulations, policies and procedures and prevents criminal, destructive or disruptive activity.
• Controls pedestrian and vehicle traffic, ensuring that vehicles are secure and safe. Issues traffic citations and conducts accident investigations when appropriate.
• Completes special projects and assignments as directed by a Public Safety Specialist or higher level of authority.
• Assures the Supervisor is kept advised of current unusual incidents, operational matters on assigned shift and status of personnel, equipment and supplies.
• Oversees the training and documentation of progress for new security personnel.
• Assumes the role of Public Safety Supervisor when directed. Reports to a Public Safety Lieutenant.

• Interacts in situations with combative persons.
• May participate in fire situations.
• Participates in bomb threat search.
• Work is performed inside building where hazardous chemicals and gases are present, as well as outside in all types of weather.
