Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital in Edmond, OK seeks a PRN unarmed security officer for variable shifts. The role focuses on securing the facility, guiding pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and assisting patients, visitors, and staff with safety and escorts.

Duties include incidents reporting, emergency response, and compliance with security policies. Required licenses and certifications include CLEET licenses and IAHSS credentials within specified timeframes, plus a valid Oklahoma driver’s license

Qualifications

• CLEET licenses required within 6 months of hire.
• IAHSS CHSS certification within 1 year of hire.
• IAHSS CAHSO certification within 1 year of hire.
• IAHSS CHSO certification within 1 year of hire.
• MMPI/CPI evaluation post hire for taser evaluation.
• Oklahoma driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Secures property and facilities, addressing unauthorized access.
• Manages traffic and vehicle safety; issues citations as needed.
• Assists patients, visitors, and motorists; provides escorts.
• Supports fire drills and inspects for hazards.
• Documents incidents with detailed reports.
• Assists with helicopter pad operations during landings and emergencies.
• Completes assigned projects under Public Safety leadership.
• Ensures compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Assists clinical staff with managing disruptive individuals.
• Detains suspects until law enforcement arrives.
• Responds to combative individuals and emergency situations.

Education

CLEET-Armed Security Guard License OR CLEET-Unarmed Security Guard License within 6 months of hire

IAHSS- Cert HC Security Supervisor (CHSS) within 1 year of hire

IAHSS-Cert Adv HC Security Officer (CAHSO) within 1 year of hire

IAHSS-HC Security Officer (CHSO) within 1 year of hire

MMPI or CPI psychological evaluation required post hire for Taser weapon evaluation

Possess and maintain a current Oklahoma State Driver’s License as well as a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier

• Manages pedestrian and vehicle traffic; ensures vehicle safety; issues citations and investigates accidents as needed.
• Provides assistance to patients, visitors, and motorists, including escorts upon request.
• Supports fire drills and conducts inspections for hazardous or unsafe conditions.
• Documents incidents accurately through detailed written reports.
• Assists with helicopter pad operations during landings and emergencies.
• Completes assigned projects and follows direction from Public Safety leadership.
• Ensures compliance with organizational security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assists clinical staff with managing and restraining disruptive or violent individuals.
• Detains suspects when appropriate until law enforcement arrives.
• Responds to and manages interactions with combative individuals.
• Participates in emergency responses, including fires and bomb threat searches.
