Job summary

The City of Boise is hiring a Police Records Technician II to support officers, detectives, and the community by processing police reports and maintaining confidential records. You will ensure information is accurate, accessible, and ready for prosecutors and agencies as needed.

This role requires detail orientation, comfort with complex data, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced public safety environment, with four 10-hour shifts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years in a professional office environment handling data and records.
• Experience using computer software to enter data and assist customers.
• Equivalent education and/or experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Review and process police reports and enter data into the records system.
• Maintain confidential police records with accuracy and security.
• Prepare case information for prosecutors and other agencies.
