Job summary

The County of Monterey, Information Technology Department (ITD) is seeking a Radio Communications Engineer to design, implement, and support public safety radio networks. The ideal candidate will manage analog and P25 LMR systems and advance LTE integration across the organization.

Experience with cloud-based services, GIS tools, and project budgeting is desirable. The role requires strong analytical, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and supporting complex analog and P25 LMR systems.
• Proficiency with emerging wireless technologies and LTE integration.
• Familiarity with cloud-based communications environments and GIS/tools.
