Job summary

Placer County's Telecommunications Division is seeking an Information Technology Analyst I – Radio Services to support the County's public safety radio infrastructure, including the P-25 digital trunked radio system, conventional analog radio, microwave network, PSAP/dispatch centers, and SCADA systems.

This entry-level role includes on-the-job training, with travel across Placer County to sites such as Tahoe, Lincoln and Roseville, and occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field (relevant experience/certifications may substitute).
• 1+ year of experience with computer applications and operations.
• Valid driver's license (may be required).

• Support design, implementation, and maintenance of radio and telecom systems
• Troubleshoot RF, networking, and subscriber unit issues
• Assist with vendor coordination and project support
• Provide occasional after-hours support
