Job summary

Lucas Metropolitan Housing is seeking a Manager of Access and Operations to provide administrative oversite, leadership, and operational supervision of the Public Safety Department. Under the VPPS, you will manage building access controls and security alarms, ensuring efficient information flow, incident reporting, and coordination of field personnel.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in security operations, and the ability to liaison across residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Ohio Peace Officer certification or re-certified within one year required.
• Must possess a valid Ohio or Michigan driver’s license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Public Safety Field Operations Leads and staff.
• Direct supervision of Mobile Patrol and Unarmed Security Officers.
• Manage access controls and security alarm systems for LMH properties.
• Ensure accurate, timely reporting and documentation; improve procedures.
• Coordinate safety training updates and officer certifications.
• Serve as liaison between residents, staff, and VPPS.
• Maintain compliant security operations and incident response.
