Job summary

WellSpan Health's Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA seeks a sworn security professional to provide law enforcement services across facilities. You will patrol, respond to incidents, conduct investigations, and enforce laws to protect patients, visitors, staff, and assets during a night-shift schedule.

Requirements: 3 years of law enforcement/public safety experience; MPOETC Act 120 Basic Recruit Training, Act 235, Act 501, and BLS; valid PA driver's license; successful completion of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 3 years law enforcement/public safety experience required.
• MPOETC Act 120 Basic Recruit Training required upon hire.
• Lethal Weapons Training Act Certification (Act 235) required within 90 days.
• Act 501 Certification (Private Police Force) required within 90 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license in current state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations related to criminal activity, safety incidents, and violations on WellSpan property, including gathering information, interviewing involved parties, and documenting findings.
• Enforces applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies, including taking enforcement actions and initiating arrests when legally authorized.
• Prepares clear, accurate, and timely reports and documentation related to incidents, investigations, enforcement actions, and patrol activities.
• Maintains custody, handling, and documentation of evidence related to criminal or investigative matters in accordance with procedures.
• Operates law enforcement and security equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.
• Provides assistance and support to patients, visitors, and team members during routine operations and emergency situations.
• Participates in required training, certification, and continuing education to obtain and maintain sworn status and readiness.
• Coordinates with internal public safety partners and external emergency response agencies during incidents or investigations.
• Assists the security team with security operations as needed.
