WellSpan Health’s York Hospital security team seeks a sworn officer to protect patients, visitors, and staff. You will patrol, investigate incidents, enforce policies, and coordinate with emergency responders across system sites. A minimum of 3 years in law enforcement is required, with Act 120, Act 235, Act 501, and BLS compliance required within stated timelines.

The role requires shift coverage from 11:00pm to 7:00am, 80 hours biweekly, with travel to various WellSpan facilities as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates preferred.
• 3 years of law enforcement or public safety experience required.
• Must complete MPOETC Act 120 basic recruit training upon hire.
• Act 235 lethal weapons training within 90 days; Act 501 private police certification within 90 days.
• BLS certification required at hire; valid driver's license.

Aufgaben

• Provide sworn law enforcement services across WellSpan facilities.
• Conduct investigations, enforce laws, and document findings.
• Prepare timely incident and enforcement reports.
• Manage evidence custody and documentation per procedures.
• Operate security equipment and support patients, visitors, and staff.
• Coordinate with public safety partners and emergency responders.
• Attend required training to maintain sworn status and readiness.
• Travel to sites across the system as needed.
